The Best Christmas Ever!

Christmas was so much fun this year, even though our mountain cabin and playing in the snow plans were cancelled due to an ice storm. We had a great time with the girls and spending time together as a family. We hope your Christmas was merry, too.
Reese putting on her new Christmas Jammies.
Presley LOVES her Christmas Jammies! The tradition in the Hilton family is to get new jammies every year on Christmas Eve! We are carrying on the tradition.

The Elders came for Christmas Eve. We went to the Festival of Lights at Tanglewood Park and then ate a big dinner, sang Christmas tunes, read Luke 2, and then the girls attacked the Elders. Here is Elder West trying to keep them away with a pillow. (Mission rules discourage holding children and ours were all over them).

Wilkinson Family Christmas Poem 2009

2008 was such a treat
New baby Presley did we greet.
She and sweet Reese hit it off just fine
It was a great start to 2009.

It's amazing how fast this year went.
So much fun time together we have spent.
Every day starts off playing with Dad
He tickles and wrestles
when he leaves we are sad.

Then Mama comes home and we go "bye-bye"
...to the bookstore, museum...
Or sometimes, the "Y"
Playing outside is still the most fun
We love the park and watching the horses run.

Dad is still working hard for "Dent Wizard".
Rain or shine and even in blizzards.
He rides his bike and climbs now and then
And enjoys his calling leading the Young Men.

Mom is still training and teaching workout classes
She likes nothing better than to kick their @#*! butts?
She also rides and runs when there's time,
but is happy to color and sing nursery rhymes.

Reese is two, what more can I add?
It's a GREAT day if she doesn't get mad!
She sings and jumps the day away
She wrestles with Presley and laughs while they play.

Presley, Oh Presley! That kid is a hoot!
She has many talents, among them loud toots.
She walks, she talks, and she still growls...
The sound of which makes her parents howl.
We can't stop laughing, she is just so funny
The joy she brings is worth more than money$$$$

Our little family didn't grow THIS year
But we are busy and happy
And full of love and cheer!

May this season bring you all Love, Peace, and Happiness!
SNOW!!!!

Mama and her little snowkitties! They weren't sure what to think at first, but then they got into playing in it. Presley wouldn't move for a while. She just stood like a statue and waited for someone to pick her up.

Pretzels is so happy with her new gloves!
And her new book. The little bookworm.
Trying on the snow suits for when we go sledding in the mountains for Christmas!

This is as close to Santa as the girls wanted to get. The blew kisses and waved, but when I asked them if they wanted to give him five, "Nah!"

Smarty pants Reese

I had to record this because it cracks me up how mischievious 2 yr. olds can be. Reese was mad about something and was about to take it out on Presley. Just as she was about to hit her, I said, "Reese! Do not hit her!" She looked at me all cute and said, "What?" Then she looked at Presley and turned her hand over and said, "Five!".
Duh, mom. I wasn't going to hit her. Just giving her five. Chilax!

Christmas fun with all the girls

We had a little Christmas get together with some friends and made candy houses. There were 9 little girls...Reese and Presley had so much fun.

People always tell us what beautiful girls we have....just look out our two little angels!

Get that "Moco", Reese!
Now there is a Hair Farm!

Yes, these two are the best of friends. Reese is so sweet to Presley. She helps feed her and then asks her, "Nummy?". She wipes her face for her, and holds her hand. It is so cute when she tries to pick her up and carry her around the house. Here they are in Reese's doll stroller.
Presley still fits in this stroller and Reese loves to push her around in it.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

Once they got over how good the decorations tasted, they had fun hanging them on the tree.

POTTY TIME!

Yesterday Reese was playing with Presley and suddenly yelled out, "Potty" and went running to the bathroom. She sat there and read a book, but nothing. Later she said poo-poo. I brought the potty out, she sat on it, got up, walked away. A few minutes later I see Presley sticking her hand in the potty and putting something in her mouth. Reese had gone pee-pee for the first time (on her own). That little Presley with her PICA. Not sure what to do about her. I guess it's a good thing urine is sterile. Still, GROSS! Mama ran her 1/2 marathon yesterday and it was the first race since having kids. She is slightly crippled today. Presley has started saying "Nah". She also wipes herself after she goes potty in her diaper. She copies everything Reese does and will probably potty train at the same time. Oh, how I can't wait for life without diapers (and accidents).

Those silly girls have so much fun together. We went to the park the other day (after the Dr. when we found out Presley had pneumonia. Presley fell into some mud and this was all I had to change her into. Daddy wants to know where she gets her skinny legs.
