We were constanly sneaking bread to feed the fish. Brian got his finger bit...I laughed...
Once again, this was the path from the beach back to the lobby...nice, eh?
Snarkeling at AKUMAL, in mayan it means "place of the turtles". And turtles we saw, along with lots of beautiful fish, rays, and even a nurse shark. We tried to catch the little bugger, but he was too fast. Maybe about 5-6 ft. long. It was fan-freaking-tastic to see one. This is one of the best snorkeling sites I have ever been to.
Just look at that turquoise agua.

Brian with our tour guide "Danny DeVito", a slight resemblance, dontcha think? He was a fabulous guide...hilarious. We had a great day visiting the different place with our snorkels.

Our hotel was amazing. It reminded me a little of Venice with the riorunning through it.

Becky on the cliffs...not really a beach where we stayed but the view was gorgeous.
Here was the little "beach", if you could call it that. We tried to snorkel, but the water was brackish since it was where the fresh rio water met the salty sea...it makes the aguas look oily and it is hard to see.
Brian "hanging out" off the path to the beach. The hotel owners built the place in the middle of the jungle. There were monkeys and flamingos and deer on the resort...this was the biggest monkey we saw!
Our first trip since having kids. It was a great time. Brian was given a complimentary trip from his previous employer (Thanks Dent Wizard) and we took off for the Riviera Maya. It was freaking AWESOME! Here are several photos for our family journal. Thanks Grammy, Aunt Nin-Nin and Cuz Greysen for coming to play with Reese and Presley.

Slip n' Slide

So, I had this great idea to get a slip n' slide for the girls to play on since it has been so hot lately...let's just say they needed a lot of "encouragement" from me to even try it. Just when I was about to give up, totally bummed that it wasn't the hit I thought it would be, Reese went down. She didn't like the cold water splashing her so when we turned the spray away from her, we couldn't keep her off the darn thing. She kept saying all night.."I wanna slide". Presley had fun (ok, "fun" may not be the right word), but Presley went down a few times on my lap...but she preferred to be wrapped in the towel. Mama sure had fun!
